Intellectual property is genuinely top-five in the country, government procurement is the best programme anywhere, and national security law is deep. Federal. A very large share work or have worked in agencies, on the Hill, or in the military, and many attend part-time while continuing to do so.

Four seasons, humid summers, mild winters. A free Saturday looks like this: The Mall and the free museums, Rock Creek Park, Eastern Market, a city built around policy work.
Distance to market: Zero. Agencies, the Hill, and the courts are all walkable or one Metro stop away. Airport: DCA, fifteen minutes.
Government Procurement Law programme, the oldest and best in the United States and effectively without competitor; Intellectual Property Law programme, consistently top-five; National Security and Cybersecurity Law; a very large part-time evening programme built for federal employees.
Clinics: Fourteen clinics including Public Justice Advocacy, Immigration, Vaccine Injury, Small Business and Community Economic Development, International Human Rights, Health Rights.

Since July 1, 2026 federal borrowing for professional students is capped at $50,000 a year and $200,000 in aggregate with Grad PLUS eliminated, under the Reimagining and Improving Student Education final rule, which attributes the change to the Working Families Tax Cuts Act (https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2026/05/01/2026-08556/reimagining-and-improving-student-education-federal-student-loan-program-final-regulations).
