A boutique practice
built around one belief:
admission isn't luck.
It's strategy.
Lovare Institut is a small senior team working across the full legal pipeline — test performance, cognitive science, career strategy, and AI fluency in a profession being remade by it. Built deliberately small so every client works directly with someone senior, never an analyst.
Founded on a
conviction that's
methodical.
Lovare Institut was founded by Ali Unar to deliver what most candidates can't assemble themselves: holistic support across the full pipeline — test performance optimization, cognitive science, career strategy, and AI fluency in a profession being remade by it.
After advising hundreds of high-achieving applicants, Ali found the gap consultancies don't close: talented candidates constrained not by intellect, but by approach. Lovare exists to close it.
Ali holds a JD/MSFS candidacy from Georgetown Law and the Walsh School of Foreign Service, with a Space Certificate, and an undergraduate background in physics, economics, and political science from UCLA. He serves as President of FAST, a Georgetown-based policy think tank, and as Podcast Director at the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs.
Senior, not scaled.
Two senior leads carry every engagement personally. We deliberately keep the team small so the work — and the people — receive full attention.
Founder of Lovare and architect of its diagnostic methodology. Twelve-year LSAT pedagogy career; built the Lovare Loop blind-review system used across the practice today. Personally reviews every Arc cohort application.
Former Serial entrepreneur and author of two books on legal hiring and career strategy. Founder of Legal Mentor Network and a current partner at Husch Blackwell. Brian leads Lovare's placement work - OCI strategy, firm fit, callback prep, and warm introductions across Big Law.
How we're
actually built.
Behind Ali and Brian, Lovare runs as a small operational team across four functions. Every cohort is staffed by senior people; we don't hand work down to interns or analysts.
LSAT pedagogy.
A senior LSAT lead drives daily teaching across our cohorts — diagnostic design, blind review systems, test-day execution coaching, and the curriculum behind our +16 median gain.
Admissions strategy.
Personal statements, supplements, school selection, and scholarship strategy — led by an admissions strategist with cycles of experience and a track record of T-14 placements.
Career placement.
Brian Potts leads our placement work, supported by a network of attorneys at BigLaw, government, and boutique firms — from CFIUS practices to federal clerkships.
Research partnership.
Lovare's pedagogical methods are co-designed with academic researchers. We collaborate with Georgetown's Numerical Cognition Lab on an IRB-approved study measuring structured drilling against traditional preparation.
Operations & care.
Onboarding within 24 hours. Weekly check-ins. Monthly written reviews. A direct line for everything. The work is private; the rhythm is steady.
The cohort.
We run two Arc cohorts per year, twenty seats each. Every candidate is interviewed before admission. The cohort is the practice — not a side feature of it.
Embedded in the
institutions our
students are entering.
Lovare's leadership, research, and network are anchored in real institutional relationships — not just credentials on a slide.

Precision with purpose.
Every engagement begins with understanding. We start where elite consultants do — with diagnosis.
Diagnostic.
We analyze performance patterns and learning data to define a clear baseline — not a generic profile.
Strategy.
We design a bespoke preparation plan balancing pace, rigor, and mentorship to your timeline.
Execution.
We coach with accountability and refinement, translating insight into measurable results.
A Note from the Founder.
Law is the study of disciplined thinking. At Lovare, we treat preparation the same way. Our mission is simple: to help capable students reach the clarity and composure demanded by the world's best law schools — and the careers that follow.
Admission isn't luck.
It's strategy.
Each engagement begins with a confidential consultation to assess fit and objectives. We review every request personally and offer a brief 30-minute call within 24 hours.
