These rankings shift only slightly year to year. The table lists the fields that typically lead, with each current average verified against published analyses of LSAC data.

A good LSAT score is one at or above the median LSAT of your target schools, no matter your major. Each ABA-approved law school reports its median in its Standard 509 data, so the standard depends on where you apply. 120 to 180. A high-scoring major does not lower the score a school expects.

The exact mean changes a little each testing year. the low-to-mid 150s (LSAC does not publish a single headline average; the median falls near 152 on the percentile tables). The top majors average above that figure, but the gaps between fields are small compared with the effect of dedicated preparation.
